Nikšić is becoming an increasingly popular destination for solar power plant development, as evidenced by the plans of the company MMKSolar to build a 250 MWp solar power plant in the city.
The Počekovići MMK solar power plant will be constructed on parcels covering approximately 220 hectares in the Podvrš cadastral municipality.

According to the Energy Yield Study for the Počekovići MMK solar power project from December 2024, conducted by EFusion from Nikšić, the system capacity of the planned plant is 249.50 MWp, while the total output capacity is 217.042 MWac, the document states.
