Tanja Vujičić, a councilor from the European Alliance in Herceg Novi’s municipal assembly, stated that matching last year’s tourism figures is not a success but a clear sign of incompetence and a complete lack of vision for tourism development.
She emphasized that while the region experiences growth, Herceg Novi remains stuck.
Vujičić pointed out that tourism is not just about numbers but also about the quality of life for both tourists and residents.
She highlighted issues such as unregulated beaches, municipal disorder, poor and neglected infrastructure, and the absence of a serious tourism strategy as reasons behind the current situation.
“Herceg Novi deserves much more than what it has suffered. Instead of stagnation and improvisation, the city needs a clear vision, responsibility, and work for the common good,” Vujičić concluded.
