Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property Slaven Radunović announced that the Velje Brdo development project is planned to start construction by the end of 2025.
He emphasized that projects of this scale require thorough preparatory steps. Following the recent adoption of Montenegro’s Spatial Plan and the anticipated approval of Podgorica’s Spatial-Urban Plan (PUP) by mid-August, the necessary planning conditions will be complete.
A tender has already been issued for the construction of the boulevard leading to Velje Brdo. The next steps include breaking the access road to the site to allow construction machinery to enter, as well as securing utility connections for electricity and water.
Radunović expressed confidence that all preparations will be finalized and construction work will commence on Velje Brdo before the year’s end.
