Parliament has adopted amendments to this year’s Budget Law, which, according to the proponents, are of a technical nature and will not affect the overall budget result.
The budget revision passed with the support of 50 members of parliament and was initiated to align the budget structure with the implementation of a new Regulation on the Organization and Functioning of State Administration.
Under the revised law, total revenues of €4.03 billion are allocated as follows: €1.5 billion for the current budget, €1.3 billion for state funds, €280 million for the capital budget, €43 million for budget reserves, and €890 million for financial transactions.
Compared to the original law, the overall budget increased by only €7, due to the creation of new budget lines needed for proper expense tracking. Within the structure, the current budget was increased by €409,000, offset by an equal reduction in the budget reserve. Other components remained unchanged.
The projected revenues, total expenditures, and deficit remain effectively the same.
Parliament also adopted amendments to the Law on Concessions, the Law on Civil Servants and State Employees, and approved new laws on auditing, accounting, covered bonds, the resolution of investment firms, and changes to laws on personal ID cards and protection and rescue.
