The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro (NTOCG), in cooperation with airline flydubai, the Montenegrin Embassy in the UAE, and the tourism industry, organized a webinar for travel agents from the United Arab Emirates on June 11, 2025. The webinar aimed to introduce Montenegro’s tourist offerings in connection with the new Dubai-Tivat-Dubai flight route operated by flydubai four times weekly from June 4 to September 6.
Titled “Montenegro’s Call for Adventure – Uncover your wild side,” the webinar highlighted Montenegro’s main attractions, cultural heritage, unique nature, luxury hotels, and family vacation packages.
Nearly 100 UAE travel agents participated, learning about Montenegro’s potential as a holiday destination. Representatives from flydubai presented their company and flight schedule using Boeing 737 Max aircraft, flying Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Aleksandra Maksimović, director of the Montenegrin Congress Bureau within NTOCG, showcased the overall destination offer, while Isidora Dabović from the Montenegrin Embassy in the UAE explained the visa regime for UAE citizens and residents.
Luxury hotel representatives and certified members of the Montenegrin Congress Bureau also presented offers and suggested family vacation itineraries.
Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, noted that the airline has served Tivat since November 2017, with growing demand from UAE travelers. He emphasized Tivat’s popularity as a summer destination due to its scenic landscape and diverse vacation opportunities. The four weekly flights this summer provide comfortable and convenient travel from Dubai, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, including India, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. Flydubai now flies to over 135 destinations in 58 countries, connecting Dubai with 35 European destinations, including Tivat.
Dr. Ana Tripković Marković, director of NTOCG, stressed the importance of the direct Dubai-Tivat flight for boosting tourism from the Middle East. She noted that this market is a significant non-European source for Montenegro and that direct flights enhance destination recognition and attract tourists. The strong interest shown by UAE agents during the webinar reflects Montenegro’s growing appeal as a luxury, dynamic, authentic, and attractive destination for this target group.
NTOCG plans to continue promotional activities in the Middle East to increase tourist arrivals and strengthen Montenegro’s position as a top destination in the region.
