The Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Irena Radović, met with Montenegro’s incoming Ambassador to Denmark, Snežana Radović. The meeting was part of preparations for her new diplomatic role and focused on exchanging views on ways to deepen bilateral relations between Montenegro and Denmark, particularly in the economic sphere, as reported by the Central Bank.
During the meeting, the discussion centered on specific opportunities to enhance economic cooperation between Montenegro and Denmark, especially in areas such as green transition, digital transformation, and sustainable tourism—sectors where Denmark has significant expertise and experience.
Governor Radović emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge in developing sustainable policies, as well as the need for collaboration between the two central banks, particularly in supporting an inclusive and resilient financial system. Ambassador Radović expressed her full commitment to strengthening economic ties between Montenegro and Denmark, with a focus on promoting Montenegro as an attractive destination for Danish investors, the statement added.
The importance of Denmark’s upcoming presidency of the EU Council, planned for the second half of 2025, was also highlighted as an opportunity for further positioning Montenegro within the European context.
