Since the beginning of this year, a total of 590,290 vehicles have traveled on the Princess Ksenija highway, according to data published on the Monteput website.
In comparison, 2.87 million vehicles used the highway last year, while in 2023 there were 2.29 million vehicles, and 1.14 million in 2022.
The priority section of the Bar–Boljare highway was officially opened on July 13, 2022, and opened to traffic the following day.
During the first seven days, the toll was free of charge. After that, the toll fees were set at €1.50 for motorcycles, €3.50 for passenger vehicles, and €17 for trucks and buses.
The total length of this first section is 41.5 kilometers. It features 20 bridges on the main route, nine bridges on interchange ramps, two overpasses, eight underpasses, 7.2 kilometers of concrete retaining walls, and 16 twin-tube tunnels.
The section includes four interchanges with toll ramps connecting the highway to the existing road network — Smokovac, Pelev Brijeg, Veruša, and Mateševo.
The maximum speed limit on the highway is 100 kilometers per hour.
