Montenegro has long been an attractive investment destination, with significant potential for luxury tourism development. The country currently hosts investors from over 125 countries, and the list of potential partners and investments is a key component in Montenegro’s strategic programs and documents.
This was highlighted during the Luxury Travel Summit Montenegro, a luxury tourism fair connecting global leaders in the luxury industry with Montenegro’s elite tourism offerings. The second day of the summit took place in Tivat, with a central conference held at The Chedi Luštica Bay, bringing together global experts to discuss the future of luxury tourism in Montenegro.
Stefan Stešević, founder of Montenegro Luxury Association, emphasized the importance of positioning Montenegro as a luxury destination by uniting public and private sector players. He stressed that collaboration is key to achieving this goal, as the country possesses natural beauty, rich history, and significant untapped potential.
Ernad Suljević, Montenegro’s Minister of Regional Investment Development, highlighted the country’s favorable geographical location, beautiful nature, and competitive tax system as factors that have made Montenegro an attractive investment destination. However, he noted that global events and political instability had led to a decline in foreign direct investments, emphasizing the need for collaboration to create a favorable investment climate by addressing regulatory barriers, improving infrastructure, and digitalizing processes.
Dr. Olivera Popović, Director at the Ministry of Tourism, underlined the importance of the summit in strengthening both national and regional tourism products, with the goal of positioning Montenegro as a high-quality destination on the international tourism map.
Katarina Larisa Ham, founder of Quintessentially SEE, discussed Montenegro’s potential for luxury tourism, focusing on sustainability, responsibility and preserving natural beauty as key elements of the luxury experience.
The Luxury Travel Summit Montenegro 2025 gathered over 50 international participants from destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, California, the UK, and Saudi Arabia, contributing to the conference’s success with four panel discussions, interviews and keynote speeches.
