At the annual Gala dinner of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham), key steps towards a more inclusive, innovative and competitive Montenegro were discussed, with a focus on the “Rule of Dialogue” program.
AmCham President, Sanja Ćalasan, emphasized that dialogue is not just a concept but a platform for constructive public-private conversations that address current challenges. She noted the importance of transparency in creating a favorable business environment in Montenegro.
The evening honored those who contributed to fostering this dialogue, both from the public administration and private sector, celebrating their dedication and the positive impact of their work. Additionally, the event recognized AmCham’s continued commitment to the community through charity initiatives, which have significantly impacted lives.
U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Judy Rising Reinke, praised Montenegro’s recent steps toward European Union (EU) membership, which have attracted international business attention and investor interest. However, she emphasized the importance of reforms that strengthen investor trust, transparency, and sustainable growth.
Ambassador Reinke also pointed to AmCham’s Business Environment Report, which serves as both a mirror of the current business landscape and a roadmap for future progress. She called on the government to collaborate with AmCham to address challenges and build a stronger, more competitive economy.
A special conversation took place with Ajša Vodnik, President of AmChams in Europe, highlighting the power of networking and the long-term relationships that AmCham Montenegro shares with other European chapters. Vodnik applauded Montenegro’s “Rule of Dialogue” program and suggested that it could serve as a model for other countries.
The evening also included the presentation of awards for outstanding contributions to the “Rule of Dialogue” program, recognizing individuals who have made significant impacts in fostering dialogue and business growth in Montenegro.
