According to market analyst Darko Đikanović, 58% of companies in Montenegro report annual revenues of less than 20,000 euros. Out of a total of 36,700 companies that submitted financial statements, 21,000 had annual revenues below this threshold, as revealed by BI Consulting, a credit rating agency.
Đikanović pointed out that nearly one-third of registered companies did not submit financial statements.
“These trends indicate that with the increase in the number of registered companies, there has also been a significant rise in the number of companies that do not submit financial reports or do not have business activities. Meanwhile, the number of companies earning below or above 20,000 euros has grown proportionately,” Đikanović stated in a LinkedIn post.
