In May, the Montenegro Stock Exchange recorded a total turnover of 2.08 million EUR, marking a significant increase of 99.19% compared to April.
According to the Montenegro Stock Exchange Bulletin, this turnover represents a staggering 475.94% rise from the previous year’s May figures. The average daily turnover for the month reached 122.57 thousand EUR.
Trading activities spanned 17 days in May, resulting in the conclusion of 313 transactions.
Breaking down the turnover, the prime market saw transactions totaling 123.92 thousand EUR across 28 deals. Meanwhile, the standard market recorded 116 transactions, with a turnover of 705.6 thousand EUR.
The free market witnessed the highest activity, with 151 transactions and a turnover of 1.24 million EUR. On the MTP ME market, 18 transactions were concluded, with a total turnover of 12.52 thousand EUR.
At the end of May, the MNSE10 index stood at 1009.04 points, indicating a 2.48% decrease compared to the same period last year. Conversely, the MONEX index saw an uptick, reaching 15,219.4 points—an increase of 2.4% from the comparative period.
Overall, the total market capitalization of shares on May 31 reached 2.59 billion EUR, reflecting a notable growth of 7.51% compared to the same period last year. Over the past year, market capitalization surged by 181.16 million EUR.
