The Regulatory Agency for Energy and Regulated Municipal Services (REGAGEN) has granted a license to the company Čevo Solar, based in Podgorica, allowing them to engage in the production of electrical energy.
This license is valid for a duration of 10 years, expiring on April 10, 2034.
The license holder must submit a request for a new license 60 days prior to the expiration date if they intend to continue the same activity beyond the current license period – as stated in the regulations.
It’s worth noting that last December, this company inaugurated Montenegro’s first ground solar power plant in Čevo.
The Čevo Solar Power Plant boasts an impressive installed capacity of 4.4 MW and occupies a vast area of 70,000 square meters. Annually, it is expected to generate 6,064,522 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electrical energy. The scale of the project is evident in its extensive infrastructure, comprising a remarkable 8,112 solar panels, each with a capacity of 545 Wp, as disclosed by the company.
Additionally, 26 inverters with individual capacities of 125 kW were installed, resulting in a combined output power of 3.25 MW. A new connecting substation of 0.8/35 kV has been erected as part of the project.
