The cruising season in Bar this year will begin in mid-May and last until the end of October. According to the current schedule, the first cruise ship is expected to dock at the port of Bar on May 15th, and the cruising season will close on October 30th.
Over the course of five and a half months, approximately 25 cruise ships will dock at the Port of Adria in the port of Bar. The novelty of this year’s cruising season in Bar is the arrival of around 10 mega-cruisers from Celebrity Cruises, an American company.
Last year, Celebrity Beyond had more arrivals in Kotor.
The mega-cruiser Celebrity Beyond is 326.5 meters long, 39.5 meters wide, and has a draft of 8.5 meters. The ship has a maximum capacity of 3,937 passengers and 1,416 crew members.
“Celebrity Beyond” is the third in the Edge class of ultra-modern mega-cruisers built by the French shipyard STX in Saint-Nazaire for this American company, a member of the famous Royal Caribbean Cruise Line corporation.
To recap, last year the cruising season in Bar opened on April 27th and lasted until October 11th. During 2023, over 20 passenger ships docked at the port of Bar, bringing around 40,000 tourists and over 20,000 crew members to Bar for a day. This form of tourism contributes to the promotion of the destination, increases the turnover of the domestic economy, and one of the positive effects is the likely return of some guests to Bar.
