The total inflow of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) at the end of October amounted to 714.98 million EUR, while simultaneously, 344.08 million EUR left the country, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG).
“The net inflow of foreign direct investments from January to October was 370.9 million EUR, which is 44.69 percent less compared to the same period last year,” stated the CBCG Bulletin.
The total inflow of foreign direct investments is down by 23.87 percent compared to the corresponding period, reflecting a decline in investments based on intercompany debt and investments in companies and banks, as well as withdrawals of investments from abroad.
Regarding investments by residents abroad, 72.75 million EUR left the country, while withdrawals of funds invested in Montenegro by non-residents amounted to 271.33 million EUR.
The inflow of foreign direct investments in the form of equity investments amounted to 458.17 million EUR, constituting 64.08 percent of the total. Of this, 380.32 million EUR was invested in real estate, and 77.85 million EUR in companies and banks.
The inflow of FDI in the form of intercompany debt amounted to 225.78 million EUR, which is 31.58 percent of the total inflow.
