The average salary without taxes and contributions in August amounted to EUR 799 and recorded an increase of 11.3% compared to the same month last year. Compared to July, projected net earnings increased by 0.3%, according to Monstat data.
– If it is taken into account that consumer prices in August of this year compared to July recorded an increase of 1.7%, it follows that real wages for the same period recorded a drop of 1.4% – announced from Monstat.
By sector of activity, average net earnings in August compared to the previous month recorded growth in the sectors of accommodation and food services by 2.2%, agriculture, forestry and fishing by 2.1%, real estate business by 2.1%, construction (1, 6%), other service activities 1.6%, and artistic entertainment and recreational activities 1800.
Growth in net wages was also achieved in the sectors of water supply, waste water management, process control; waste removal and similar activities 0.9%, manufacturing industry 0.6%, administrative and auxiliary service activities 0.6%, state administration and defense: mandatory social security 0.5%, mining and quarrying 0.2% and trade wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles 0.2%.
The decline in average earnings without taxes and contributions was recorded in the sectors of health and social protection 1.2%, professional, scientific and technical activities 1.1%, financial and insurance activities 0.5%, transport and storage 0.3%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply 0.2%, information and communications 0.2% and education 0.1%.
