9.03 thousand guests are currently staying in Tivat, which is at the same level as last year, announced the director of the Tourist Organization (TO), Nina Lakičević.
She stated that hotel accommodation has been recording exceptional growth and better occupancy compared to the previous year for a long period of time, while a small gap compared to last year, two to three percent, is recorded when it comes to individual accommodation.
“Nevertheless, statistics and figures when looking at the period from the beginning of the year until now show that this is a year we can be extremely satisfied with and I hope that we will continue until the end to record positive results when it comes to visits,” Lakičević said.
She said that they expect a good visit in the postseason as well, and that they are supported by data that indicates good bookings for that period.
“According to our data, accommodation providers have already filled their capacities throughout September, but also for most of October,” added Lakičević.
She said that Tivat is a city where there is always something going on, which is why the Children’s Folklore Festival Kolo without Borders, which gathers ensembles from Montenegro and the region, is current these days.
“The festival of Purgatory is still going on, until August 31st, as well as the Bućarska Olympics, but that does not mean that it is the end when it comes to events and manifestations. And September will be rich in events and manifestations. We will have a Bućar tournament, on September 13th the Association of the Blind will organize a concert by Miroslav Ilić, but we will also have a number of other events,” said Lakičević.
She said that they are already working on designing the program for the other months as well as preparing the New Year’s program, which will be three evenings in Tivat.
