In two years, the new management of Montenegro Bonus managed to restore the liquidity of the company, to initiate and complete the assessment procedure of the assets it owns, as well as the assets given to it for management and use by the Government of Montenegro, said the president of the Board of Directors of Montenegro Bonus Slađana Džaković.
At the ceremony, on the occasion of the company’s 20 years of operation, she said that before the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, who were appointed in June 2021, “it was a very difficult task, because at that moment the liquidity of the company was threatened”, and that the company was left without working capital due to the blocking of accounts by the Commercial Court, due to the debt incurred during the period of management of KAP.
As reported by Montenegro Bonus, Džaković referred to the energy crisis at the global level, caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, which was reflected in the market through the lack of energy sources and frequent price changes on the oil derivatives exchange.
“With a professional approach to work and engagement, we successfully resisted all pressures, as evidenced by the large number of concluded commercial contracts with public clients and private companies. The company also started the current year, 2023, with positive business, and the same trend has continued to this day.” , stated Džaković.
As announced, Montenegro Bonus has also started the process of establishing a regional company for the Ionian Adriatic Pipeline-IAP project, which, he adds, will be very important for the country of Montenegro in the future, since energy is one of the main pillars of Montenegro’s development.
“After the meeting, which was held in mid-June in Split, in which the president of the Board of Directors took part in front of Montenegro Bonus, with associates and representatives of the Croatian company “Plinacro”, it was agreed to sign the founding acts by the end of 2023. The mentioned project is crucial for the gasification of Montenegro, and it will connect Albania and Croatia, passing through the territory of Montenegro. In this way, Montenegro, together with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, will be a bridge between the Caspian region and Western Europe,” the company’s announcement states.
It is also added that Montenegro Bonus has set goals regarding an even better positioning on the market of oil and oil derivatives, by putting into operation the storage capacities given to it for management, use and disposal by the Government, as well as the construction of retail stores of oil and oil derivatives .
Džaković stated that she expects that the Government, through active participation, will contribute to achieving the goals and that Montenegro Bonus, as a company owned by the state, will be additionally strengthened and adequately positioned on the market.
A net profit of 87,000 euros was made in the first quarter of this year
The executive director, Radoš Zečević, said that the most important project, important for development, is the putting into operation of oil derivatives warehouses in Bar, Bijelo Polje and Lipci.
“After the property legal relations with the company Jugopetrol AD are resolved, with the participation of the Protector of Property and Legal Interests of Montenegro, since it is about property that is owned by the state,” announced Zečević.
He added that he is proud of the fact that in this segment the maximum contribution is being made to solve many inherited problems and bring them to an end.
Zečević also said that Montenegro Bonus made a net profit of 87,000 euros in the first quarter of this year.
“Which is EUR 91,000 more than the planned result for the first quarter of 2023, and the positive business trend is certain in the second quarter as well,” he said.
He stated that all plans of Montenegro Bonus require close cooperation with the state for the benefit of the company itself, the state and society as a whole.
Venera Amanović and Nikola Vujović, employees of the Department for Commercial Affairs, were chosen as the best employees of Montenegro Bonus for the first half of 2023.
