The Kotor – Lovćen cable car will be officially opened on July 13th, as previously announced, and the work is being carried out at a good pace, announced the vice president of the Municipality of Kotor, Nebojša Ševaljević.
– Everything remains as planned, the opening will be on July 13th. The works are going at a good pace – said Ševaljević.
He assessed that the cable car is of great importance for Kotor, and perhaps even more so for Cetinje.
– It is an attractive tourist offer that will connect Kotor, Lovćen and Cetinje and it is an additional attraction that will have numerous benefits for both cities – Ševaljević believes.
He could not say how much the cable car ride will cost, but, he added, the concessionaire has announced special packages for local residents.
The ride will take ten minutes, and the cable car will operate at least seven months a year. The cable car is about four kilometers long and with 40 gondolas it will be able to transport a maximum of one thousand passengers in an hour.
Ševaljević expects that the season in Kotor this summer will be the best so far, by all parameters.
