In the first quarter, a record export of goods was achieved in the amount of EUR 226.8 million, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced.
“According to the data of the Central Bank (CBCG), the export of goods from Montenegro has reached a record since it has been measured and for the first quarter it amounts to EUR 226.8 million. For the sake of comparison, in the first quarter of 2019, the export of goods amounted to EUR 101 million, in 2020, EUR 95 million, in 2021, EUR 108 million, and last year, EUR 216 million,” Abazović wrote on his Twitter account.
He stated that in addition to the record income from tourism, which represents the export of services, the record export of goods proves that the economy of Montenegro is on a safe path.
“Here is the best example of how, with the suppression of corruption and crime, the elimination of monopolies and the destruction of the tycoon-crown economy, a better distribution of justice is created.” As a result, all economic parameters in the country are growing,” said Abazović.
He said that they are going further, raising the standard of living and building a country in which it will be a privilege to live. “Brave – we are on the right path,” said Abazović.
The Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, Goran Đurović, reacting to these data, said that the economic parameters clearly show that we are taking big steps forward.
“All segments of the economy are incomparably better than in all previous years. Higher salaries and pensions are a reality because we base them on a healthy economy,” Đurović wrote on Twitter.
