The solar power plant Prediš, which , in the settlement of the same name, will have an installed power of 215 megawatts (MW), and the value of the investment is around EUR 180 million. It is a project implemented by the company Renewable Energy Sources from Podgorica, and a contract was signed in Podgorica on Friday to connect this energy facility to the transmission system.
As announced by the Montenegrin Electric Distribution System (CGES), the contract was signed by the executive director of this company, Ivan Asanović, and the director of the Podgorica company, Rusmin Muslić.
SPP Prediš will be connected via a 400 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to the Čevo switchyard.
– In addition to the higher connection power that the network will be able to accept, this technical solution also enables better characteristics of the transmission system because it eliminates the possibility of a simultaneous outage of the 400 kV transmission line towards Trebinje and towards Pljevlja, which will have multiple benefits, including an increase in short-circuit power and system inertia – they stated are from CGES.
According to recent analyses, it was determined that the potential amount of energy produced is 306.20 GWh per year.
